(Macomb, Ill.) — The Omaha baseball team took the first game of a four-game set with Western Illinois 3-0 on Thursday.

The Mavericks scored all three of their runs in the top of the first to improve to 28-20, 12-9.

Tyler Fox picked up his ninth victory of the season, throwing 7.0 innings, allowing six hits, with four strikeouts.  Anthony Falcone picked up his fourth save of the year, pitching the last 2.0 innings.
