MavRadio Earns Four Eric Sevareid Awards at the Midwest Journalism Conference

MavRadio/KVNO-FM returned from the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota. MavRadio/KVNO-FM didn’t come home empty handed – they won eight awards The MBJA awards includes submissions from six states: Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin. KVNO student reporter Brandon McDermott won six of the awards – two student awards and four professional awards. Brandon has now won 20 awards for reporting at KVNO since arriving in June of 2011.
