Oct. 28-29, you can help Durango find a home

by Jodeane Brownlee, Faculty Advisor

OMAHA-Student clubs and organizations are the strength of any university, ours is no exception. For 24 hours, beginning at Noon on Oct. 28, we are asking for donations of any amount that will go directly to MavRadio.FM staff and students. These funds offset costs for equipment and travel needs. With more than 100 live play-by-play calls, three major community broadcasts, participation in World College Radio Day, and so much more, our journalists and storytellers are constantly pushing the limits of radio.

As their faculty advisor, I’ve seen the growth in our programming and a hunger for perfection. It’s not the events, the shows, or the awards the students earn that makes our group so special, it’s the hundreds of hours every semester, weekends and holidays, spent in the lab. The leadership is topnotch, but even more so, is the heart of every journalist who leaves their imprint on our MavRadio.FM family.

Please consider giving. https://givingday.unomaha.edu/
