Omaha Baseball sweeps Summit League honors

(Omaha) — Two members of the Omaha Baseball team picked up weekly Summit League honors for the week of April 21-27.

Caleb Palensky (Senior, Papillion, Neb.) earned the Summit League Player of the Week after going 8-for-18 for the week, while driving in seven runs, scoring four runs, stealing three bases and hitting two homers and a triple.

Zach Williamsen (Junior, Omaha, Neb.) was awarded Co-pitcher of the Week by the Summit League after his terrific outing against Creighton.  Williamsen went 6.1 innings and allowed no runs on just six hits.

The Mavericks return to action Wednesday, April 30th, as they host in-state rival Nebraska at Werner Park.  Paul Dobler and Ryan Matheny will have the call beginning with pregame coverage at 6:20 on MavRadio.
